Bille embeds Representations & Warranties (R&W) insurance into business acquisition marketplaces, enabling buyers and sellers to protect transactions through tailored insurance coverage. This Privacy Policy explains how Bille collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal data submitted through the platform, including during the quoting, underwriting, and policy-issuance process.
(b) License Agreement
This Privacy Policy is read together with Bille's Terms of Use, which govern access to and use of the platform. In the event of any inconsistency between this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
(c) Consent
By using the Bille platform, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy. Certain personal data is required to generate insurance quotes and issue policies. Without it, we may be unable to provide these services. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing already completed prior to withdrawal.

3. Data Management
(a) Accuracy
We rely on you to provide accurate and up-to-date information when using the Bille platform. You may request to review or correct your personal data at any time by contacting hello@bille.co. Identity verification may be required before any changes are made to your personal data.
(b) Deletion
You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting hello@bille.co. Requests will be fulfilled within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or regulatory obligation. Insurance-related data is retained for a minimum of 7 years in accordance with Swedish and EU insurance regulatory requirements and applicable limitation periods.
(c) Storage
Personal data is stored on secure servers within the EU/EEA where possible. Where data is processed or stored outside the EU/EEA, for example through third-party service providers, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions by the European Commission, in accordance with GDPR.
(d) Security measures
Bille implements industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, loss, or disclosure. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, regular security assessments, and secure development practices. However, no method of electronic transmission or internet-based storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
(e) Data breach
In the event of a personal data breach that creates a real risk of harm to data subjects, Bille will notify affected users and the relevant supervisory authority (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) without undue delay and, where feasible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by GDPR.
(f) Staff training
Access to personal data is limited to employees, contractors, and agents of Bille who require it to perform their role. All personnel with access to personal data are required to adhere to Bille's internal data protection policies and receive appropriate training on data handling obligations.
4. Data Usage
We use personal data for the following purposes:

To generate insurance quotes and issue Representations & Warranties (R&W) insurance policies through our licensed underwriting partners.
(b)
To verify your identity and prevent fraud in connection with insurance applications and policy issuance.
(c)
To communicate with you about your account, application status, policy terms, and related administrative matters.
(d)
To share relevant transaction and applicant data with licensed insurance underwriters and brokers, including AJG/Gallagher and Aon, solely for the purpose of placing and administering insurance coverage on your behalf.
(e)
To improve and develop the Bille platform, analyse usage trends, conduct internal research, and build new features.
(f)
To comply with applicable legal obligations, regulatory requirements, and court orders.
(g)
To enforce our Terms of Use and protect Bille's legal rights, property, and safety.
(h)
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Assurley AB or its assets, personal data may be transferred as part of the transaction. Affected users will be notified as required by applicable law.
(i)
We do not sell personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
